  148. GETTING STARTED
  149.  
  150. Copy all the files in this package to a sub directory on your hard
  151. drive.  To start WINDOWS LOTTO, select the RUN command from the Windows
  152. Program Manager FILE menu.  Enter the path of the directory that you
  153. copied the WINDOWS LOTTO files to, followed by LOTTO.EXE.  For example,
  154. you you copied all the files in the package to a sub directory on your C
  155. drive named WINLOTTO, the RUN command would be:
  156.

  159. You can also create an icon in one of your program groups for WINDOWS
  160. LOTTO.  The command line would be the same as the example above.  The
  161. working directory for the above example would be:

  165. WINDOWS LOTTO will automatically load a drawing file on startup if you
  166. include the path name of the drawing file as a parameter.  The drawing
  167. file contains the previously drawn numbers and dates for a particular
  168. lottery.  For example, to load the Florida drawing file on startup, the
  169. command would be:

  171.            C:\WINLOTTO\LOTTO.EXE C:\WINLOTTO\FLORIDA.DTA

  173. If you do not specify the drawing file as a parameter, you will see the
  174. OPEN DRAWING FILE dialog box when you start the program.  Click on the
  175. name of the drawing file that you want to load and then click the OK
  176. button.

  178. Once you have installed the program, you should read through the file
  179. WINLOTTO.WRI for detailed information on how to use the program.  Select
  180. the DOCUMENTION menu command from the WINDOWS LOTTO HELP menu to view or
  181. print this file.

  183. You can also get help on any of the program screens by pressing the F1
  184. key.  Help specific to the screen you are on will be displayed.  To get
  185. help a a specific menu item, click on CONTEXT HELP or hold the SHIFT key
  186. down and press the F1 key.  The cursor will change to a box shape.

  188. that topic.
